Why don't China and South Korea do us a favour and take over/take half and half? China's economy is growing fast and South Korea is a developed nation; it wouldn't mess up their economy like ours already is. Both countries will benefit from the extra land and army.
Even if China and the US help South Korea attack North Korea, North Korea has the nukes to cause catastrophic damage that will eventually kill everyone in the area with radiation poisoning. If they lose, China's economy would plum-it and South Korea would be under North Korea's control. I'm assuming that China would remain neutral or it's just a little skirmish and it will blow over in a few days.
